Tablets of the Covenant

Ark of the Covenant and the House of God
Today’s Focus: Tablets of the Covenant
Scripture: Deuteronomy 10:4,5; Galatians 3:23-25

Greetings Kingdom Citizens
The tablets of the covenant is the last item in the ark that we want to unfold. Now we know or we should know that the tablets of the covenant contained the Ten Commandments. These were put on two stone tablets and placed in the ark. Let me show you:

Deuteronomy 10:4,5: And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the Lord spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the Lord gave them unto me. And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the Lord commanded me.

Now we know that the giving of the Law of Moses is what made Israel a nation. The laws given from God to Moses to give to the children of Israel was to set boundaries and give them order in their lives of how they were to conduct themselves according to this agreement between God and the children of Israel. Now let me say that the giving of the Law of Moses shows the love of God because this Law protected Israel. As long as you kept the law, you were in favor with God. Now we know that the Tablets of the Covenant represent a spiritual reality in which the sons of God are to live by and we will discuss this in the next message.

Here are some important points to remember about the Law of Moses because there are people and sects of religion that believe you must keep the Law of Moses and this is not true. Let me show you.

Galatians 3:23-25: But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law WAS OUR SCHOOLMASTER to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith, But after that faith is come, WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER A SCHOOLMASTER

So the scriptures clearly speak that we are not under a schoolmaster which is the Law but it is the Law that brings us to Christ that we might be justified. Now we said already that the Tablets of the Covenant was the Law of Moses that the children of Israel was to follow so that they stayed in favor with God. As the Ark lead the children of Israel, one of the principals they were to be lead by was the Law of Moses. But since we are not under the Law of Moses, what principal or covenant are we to live by? See you next message!
