Ark of the Covenant and the House of God
Today’s Focus: Aaron’s Rod: Representation of the Rod Part 2
Scripture: Jeremiah 5:9-12; Psalm 23:4
Greetings Kingdom Citizens
Let's get right into it.
Jeremiah 5:9-12: Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold I have put my words in thy mouth. See I have this day SET THEE over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seeth thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me,Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
The prophet Jeremiah is speaking and listening to the Lord and notice at the beginning that the Lord put His word in Jeremiah's mouth. Now by doing this, He has set Jeremiah over the nations and kingdoms. So we see that the Lord sets or selects the leaders over His people and He confers His favor on the leader or messenger to His people by placing His word in their mouth. When they speak, they speak and lead not as themselves but as the mouthpiece and representative of God.
Now God shows Jeremiah a rod of an almond tree. Now where have we seen this? In Genesis 30:32-41 when God was conferring His favor and selecting the set man over the house of Israel. The children of Israel understood that the one carrying the rod was the father or elder. So when Jeremiah sees the rod this was to let Him know that God has selected Him and by His word it will perform it. What will it perform? Go back to Jeremiah 1:10: To root out, and to pull down and to destroy, and to throw down, to buiild and to plant. We as the Body of Christ have been called to do these exact things and allow the Word of God to live and operate through us to bring these things to the Earth.
The only thing a leader can do is speak and do what he sees the Father do. By living from this capacity, the Father’s rulership for mankind can flow through the sons of God into the Earth. When we are under true theocratic leadership, comfort is brought to the sons of God. What do I mean:
Psalm 23:4: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou are WITH ME, THY ROD and thy staff they comfort me.
So when we are under theocratic leadership, as we walk through this life and the trials and troubles that will come Godly leadership will be with us and through them the Lord comforts us until the threat or trouble is done. To understand theocratic leadership requires the church to really shift in their current situation and really trust God to set men over households as fathers and bring the sons to maturity. We as the people and the sheep do not get to choose the shepherd. Nor did we get a vote on who our biological father would be so why would we think that we get a choice of who our pastor or spiritual father should be. The spirit of democracy must be removed from the church but it requires repentance from tradition and pride and true submission to the ways of the Father.
In the next message we will look at the last item in the Ark, the Tablets of the Testimony.
Peace, Love and Grace from the Father,
