The Day of Rest and the Two Time Zones

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: Sabbath Day Part 2: The Day of Rest and the Two Time Zones

Scripture: Luke 12:56; Hebrews 3:13; 4:7,8

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

Now I know we are wondering what are the two time zones and we will explain but we concluded in the previous message that the Day of the Lord is the Sabbath Day. It is not a particular such as Saturday or Sunday because that type or day is in our realm and let me show you.

Hebrews 3:13: But exhort one ANOTHER DAILY, WHILE IT IS CALLED TO DAY; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Now the Hebrews are being admonished to exhort one another daily. So they are being to exhort one another Sunday through Saturday. But then the writer goes on to make a unique distinction saying to exhort one another daily , while it is called To day. Now in the scripture the word To day is capitalized telling us the importance of this day. The word Today of course means now but in this scripture and you will also see it in Hebrews 4 it is referring to a different type of To day than as we know it in our chronological time. This To day is referring to the Day of the Lord. So the Hebrews are admonished to exhort one another daily while it is the Day of the Lord. The Day of the Lord is also called an I AM Moment and we will explain later. So in this scripture we see two types of days being explained we see days in the sense of chronological and also a day in the sense of the eternal. These are the two times zones, temporal and eternal.

Now to explain this I am going to take a scripture from Hebrews 4:7 and then we will go back and look at Hebrews 4 later in this series to wrap this up.

Hebrews 4:7,8: Again, He limiteth a certain day, saying, in David, TO DAY, after so long a time; as it is said, TO DAY if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus (Joshua) had given them rest, then would He not afterward have spoken of another day.

The word limiteth in the Greek is “horizo” which means to mark out or bound. Of course we know we get the word horizon from this Greek word. Now in our chronological time the horizon is simply the boundary that you can see, your vantage point, where the sky meets the land, that is your horizon. Now that is in the temporal or the realm of time. But in the eternal realm your horizo or horizon is determined by your discernment of the kairos (moments) of God. So in the Day of the Lord (Sabbath Day), your discerning of the signs of the Lord and decoding what the Lord is saying in the I AM Moment, and understanding the shifts and moves of God determine your perception and ability to rest in this Day of Rest. Understanding the kairos of God is to mature in the Lord. As you mature you rest from your labours and find rest for your soul.

Is this no wonder why the people of God are still under strife, confusion and stress? Absolutely because the people and the leaders who are supposed to lead them have not discern the times and are living under the law of Moses, which cannot save them, and hold to the mindset of the Sabbath day being a day in our realm of time instead of the eternal day of the Lord, which is now. Jesus said this:

Luke 12:56: Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky (stars, moon and sun) and of the earth: but how is it that YE DO NOT DISCERN THIS TIME?

The word time is karios meaning occasion, set time or season. So what is that Jesus said they could not discern, the New Season and the Day of the Lord. You can discern everything within the realm of time but you are blind to the seasons and moments of God who created the realm of time. When you cannot discern the karios of God then your horizon is very limited and you are almost in darkness to the moves of God. This is why people who do not like change are spiritually immature because as God matures us our horizon expands and continuously moves us closer to perfection in preparing the Body of Christ for the return of the Lord.

Finally at the end of Hebrew 4:7 it says To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. So in order to expand our horizon in God we must be able to hear His voice and how do we hear his voice, through his preachers. In the next message we will look at the true role of preachers from God’s perspective

The Sabbath Day

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: The Sabbath Day

Scripture: Galatians 4:9,10; Colossians 2:16-19; Romans 10:17;

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

As we have said in past messages, in the Law the Lord made the children of Israel keep the Sabbath day, which is the seventh day of the week. The penalty for not observing the Sabbath and keeping its decrees within it, was death. Now before the Law we know that in the seventh day God rested (Sabbath) from all of his work and in that day He sanctified it and blessed it. So this Sabbath day is very important to God and it was very important to physical Israel to keep it. As we have also stated before the Sabbath day is Saturday and people in the church have made it Sunday but let’s go ahead and clear up that the Sabbath Day IS NOT Saturday, nor Sunday in THIS DAY.

Galatians 4:9,10: But now, after that ye have known God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

Colossians 2:16-19: Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or OF THE SABBATH DAYS: WHICH ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME: BUT THE BODY IS OF CHRIST.

Understand this, the Gentiles did not receive the Law of Moses, so the keeping of a Sabbath day in the sense of our chronological time. Monday through Sunday IS NOT what God desired for the church. Remember the children of physical Israel and their leaders were in constant contention with the church because the church was declaring, and they are, that they are the chosen generation of God. So the keeping of a day is not what the Sabbath day is about. Remember back in Ezekiel 46:1 it speaks that six days shall there be work but the gate facing the east to the inner court would open on the Sabbath day in the day of the new moon. We already say that this represents the ushering of the New Season. What is the New Season?

The Day of the Lord

So, to enter into the New Season all you have to do is believe by hearing the Word of God.

Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

So when you hear the Word of God, you must live by certain conditions and in living in these conditions you enter rest. Hence with all of that said this is what we have:

The New Season which is the Day of the Lord is the Sabbath Day!

Now you know we are going to prove this but if you study and seek God then Matthew 11:28-30 becomes eternally clear to you and then you will understand that this rest is available to you TODAY, not just on Saturday and Sunday.

In the next message we will start to dissect this and understand the Sabbath day as the Day of Rest.

Characteristics of the Eunuch

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: Characteristics of the Eunuch

Scripture: Isaiah 58:12-14

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

In the last message we talk about what a eunuch is and what he or she does, now let’s look at the character. Now we are all called to be eunuchs but as we will see in this set of scripture, not all of us will be able to be this and this is not a bad thing. It will not hinder your salvation, but it is just another level in Christ that one who has really given their life over to him are privileged to live.

The first characteristic of the eunuch is their faithfulness to their leaders. These people have given up the right to govern themselves. They are transparent and serve unconditionally. They do not seek to take ownership of anything and are spiritual celebrant and are solely married to the Lord.

The second characteristic is a fasted life. This life is a life fully committed to the Lord. Let me show you this scripture:

Isaiah 58:12-14: And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt called, The repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in. If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, FROM DOING THY PLEASURE ON MY HOLY DAY; AND CALL THE SABBATH A DELIGHT, THE HOLY OF THE LORD, HONORABLE; AND SHALT HONOUR HIM, NOT DOING THINE OWN WAYS, NOR FINDING THINE OWN PLEASURE, NOR SPEAKING THINE OWN WORDS: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

This scripture first says that these sons of God shall build the old waste places. The waste places is the city and we know that the building of the city is a picture of the nation. When the walls are destroyed around a city, wild animals and beast came come through and destroy and terrorize the city. Now in we know that the walls serve as a hedge of protection around the city and hence it is the law of the nation that protects it from outsiders getting in and plundering the people. We know it is talking about building a nation because shortly after mentioning building the old waste places it says foundations of many generations shall rise.

Next, the scriptures speaks of not turning your foot away from the Sabbath and this is the most important part of the scripture. Well with that said, there goes building your own ministry and church because if you are not turning away from the Sabbath then you’re soul is at rest from your labours, desires and ambitions. See I want you to understand many people who we see today, went but were not sent. Let me say it again. Many people went but were not set by the Lord. To be sent by the Lord is to follow in His footprints. In other words, the Lord must be leading you and everywhere He steps, your foot should step in the same manner.

Third, the Sabbath is to be honorable. To be honorable is to be the primary issue in your life and I am not talking about Saturday or Sunday. The works of ministry that we see today result in toil, stress, sweat and sometimes physical diseases because of the stress to look at certain way and perform a certain way. Listen, please about the true church’s ministry:

The True Church of God works out of the position of rest!

Let me explain! Psalm 127 and Matthew 16:18 says that the Lord will build His House and church, not us. What happens when we build is the message is no longer from Him but it become ours and when it becomes a message lead by the soul then the doctrines from man become dominant and instead or producing disciples, we produce converts to our religion, denomination, club or organization.

Fourth, it says if you keep the Sabbaths, with an “s”, God says he will cause you to ride upon the high places. The high places are the governmental places in the earth. Now do not get confused. You do not seek government. The scripture says IF YOU KEEP THE SABBATHS THEN SHALL YOU RIDE UPON THE HIGH PLACES OF THE EARTH. This only happens when you approach life from the position of rest.

Finally, when you have done all of this God then feeds you with the heritage of Jacob. What is the heritage of Jacob? The heritage of Jacob is when the power, strength and might of Yah becomes natural. Hence all the promises and blessings of Jacob come upon us.

The Concept of the Life of a Eunuch

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: The Concept of the Life of a Eunuch

Scripture: Isaiah 56:4-6

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

Let’s get right into it to see what this life is all about as it pertains to the sons of God worshipping the Lord at the gate in the Sabbath.

Isaiah 56:4: For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my Sabbaths and choose THE THINGS THAT PLEASE ME, AND TAKE HOLD OF THY COVENANT.

Ok, let’s start there. What is a eunuch? A eunuch is a castrated individual who served as a slave, valet, minister and in the sense of royalty, the eunuch cared for the royal woman. The eunuch operated without ambition or desire for themselves. They lived to solely serve. What is unique about the eunuch is because they were castrated they could never build a genealogy. They were spiritual celebrants. Now the role I want to focus on is caring for the royal woman. For any eunuch to get that privilege he had to have a very intimate and trustworthy relationship with the King. But this caring for the royal woman was not just in the natural sense, but the eunuchs who are the sons of God, because of their intimate relationship with the Lord, He has entrusted them to care for the royal woman. Who is the royal woman? The Church of Jesus Christ. Now let me clear up this picture.

In that time, the eunuch was a person who was not married but solely served the King. The sons of God who have come to this castrated lifestyle and are solely married to the Lord. Now is this saying that the sons of God cannot be eunuchs if they are married? No of course not. A great example was Potiphar who was a eunuch and captain of Pharaoh’s guard. He was married and remember it was Potiphar’s wife that tried to seduce Joseph but Joseph chose the Will of God over fleshly and lustful desires.

God desires eunuchs who will not touch, rape and plunder the royal woman and who are the people plundering the royal woman today? It is His very sons and daughters. So God desires sons who will serve Him unconditionally and care for His people.

Let me show you the rest of this because in the next message we will look at the characteristics of eunuchs.

Isaiah 56:5,6: Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant.

There is a higher position than son and daughter in God according to Isaiah 56:5 and a everlasting name that will never be cut off. What that name is, I do not know but all I do know is I want that and desire that and I pray that you desire that too. However, it comes with someone living the life of a eunuch and spiritually castrating oneself from the desires of the flesh. This reward is available to everyone who chooses Christ and submits all of who they are to Him and the Father’s Will.

Prophecy of the Sabbath Promise

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: Prophecy of the Sabbath Promise

Scripture: Ezekiel 46:1,2

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

There are prophecies that were fulfilled in Christ and there are some to be fulfilled in THE CHRIST or the Body of Christ as a whole. So let’s look at this prophecy and break it down.

Ezekiel 46:1: Thus saith the Lord God; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east, shall be shut the six working days; but on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

This gate of the inner court that looks toward the east is not natural gate looking toward a direction. The word east in this scripture does not refer to the direction but the foremost part of the earth. In the Spirit it is a gateway by which God would enter the Earth and do business with His creation. So this gateway will be open in the spirit on the Sabbath day. See God keeps the fixed order of six days of work, seventh day rest. Now when we look at the Sabbath day, once again it is not a day that happens after you die. You must enter into this day before you die. It will come with a New Season. Remember the fixed order of God with the stars, the sun and the moon as we explain this.

The new day does not start at 6am when the sun rises. The new day starts at 12:00am. Now the only light in the Earth to usher in this new day is the moon. It is the bright and morning star in the sky that lights our way while it is still dark outside. Do we see something here? Hence for six hours we are in darkness until the sun rises in the east. This is good! Do we see the fixed order with the stars, moon and sun? Hence the gate of the inner court facing the east will be opened in the New Season and it will be opened on the day of the new moon in the New Season. Now what happens when this gate is opened? Verse 2 tells us.

Ezekiel 46:2: And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offerings and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall be not be shut until the evening.

The prince here represents a royal governmental people who are also priests that will present a perfect offering for the Lord. These people of course are the sons of God because we are a royal priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices unto our God (1 Peter 2:5). These governmental people are very important and think about the type of life that they must live in order to have the privilege to worship at the gate of the Lord. We know that Jesus said “I am the door” and he also said “I am the way”. So this Sabbath day is now taking on a unique picture.

In six days we shall work, on the seventh day the gate to the inner court will be opened. The gateway where God enters in to fellowship with His creation and on that day His sons will come and worship at the threshold of the gate to offer up a perfect sacrifice unto God.

In the next message we will look at the lifestyle of these princes and see if we see some similarities.

Historical Understanding of the Sabbath

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: Historical Understanding of the Sabbath

Scripture: Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

Genesis 2:1-3: Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because THAT IN IT HE HAD RESTED from all His work which God created and made.

The rest that God had in this “seventh day” was type of position. Now many people argue the seventh day is Saturday and the church says it is Sunday. According to the Hebrew calendar the seventh day is Saturday. Now I am not here to argue a philosophical point but I am here to tell you that:

The Sabbath Day is neither a particular calendar day such as Saturday and Sunday!

Now check this out is God eternal or from the realm of time? Yes, he is eternal! Ok please keep that in mind because we will use just that to prove that the Sabbath Day is not a chronological day such as Saturday or Sunday.

So many people have made the Sabbath Day someday in the sweet by-and-by and hence we have on tombstones, R.I.P. – Rest in Peace. Can I say unto you this day that this rest is available to you right now because in the sweet by and by you have no need for rest because there is no time in the eternal.

Now the absolute last thing that God created was the Sabbath Day. So if this was the last thing on God’s mind as it pertains to the creation then it obviously has to be the first principal God desires for man. Listen, before man hit the Earth, everything was set for him and operating in a fixed order ordained by God. The Father would teach His son about the mysteries and secrets of the Earth and how to rule righteously in the Earth to bring the Kingdom of God from the Throne to the earth. Noticed in all of the work of Adam before the fall we do not see words such as toil, sweat, curse, strife, confusion. Adam was a man “at rest” while He was ruling. This is a very crucial point to understand. As long as Adam continue to follow the Spirit of God then He would enjoy rest, peace and joy while ruling in the Earth. Sounds wonderful doesn’t it. But when Adam sinned, Adam changed from being a man “at rest” to being a man that would sweat, toil, be cursed, and live in fear. So he would be the complete opposite creature. What changed? The Glory of God has left Adam due to sin. Sin separates us from God and hence no longer do we have rest for our spirit, soul and flesh. Now the fixed order of God is under attack and being influenced and governed by an evil fallen spirit called Satan.

Now God gives the children of Israel a law at Mt Sinai concerning the Sabbath:

Exodus 20:8-11: Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it.

This was the law to Israel and if you did not keep the Sabbath the penalty was death! God ordained death to the person that did not keep the Sabbath. So to the Lord the Sabbath was a serious day to keep and He intended for it to be kept. Now many people say there you go, case closed, we should keep Saturday as the Sabbath and everyone that worships on Sunday need to switch to Saturday to keep it holy. Not so fast! This of course is the Law of Moses and we are under grace. Well then what about the Sabbath? We will look at this very shortly, but before we do, in the next message we will look at the importance of keeping God’s fixed order in the Earth.

Peace, Love and Grace from the Father,

Calvin Calhoun, Jr.

Principal of Sowing: The Seeds and their Fruit

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: Principal of Sowing: The Seeds and their Fruit

Scripture: Throughout the Message

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

These some of the many seeds you can sow and the fruit that they can yield.

1. Obedience – Rest (Hebrews 4:4-6)

2. Humility – Promotion (Matthew 23:12)

3. Nothing – Laziness, Decay and Deterioration (Ecclesiastes 10:18)

4. Gossip – Strife (Proverbs 20:3; Proverbs 26:20)

5. Iniquity and Lawlessness – Sorrow (Jeremiah 30:15)

6. Rebellion – Barrenness (Romans 6:23)

7. Deception – Concealment (2 Timothy 3:5,6)

8. Revelation – Next Level of Glory (2 Corinthians 3:16-18)

9. Gifts – Friends (Proverbs 19:6)

10. Honor – Grace (Proverbs 1:7-9)

Now as you can see some of these are good seeds and others are not. This is why we must understand how important Galatians 6:7 is when Paul stresses that God is not mocked. Whatever we sow, in due season we will reap. This is why we must be careful who we yield our members to. The Scriptures say:

James 4:7,8: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

With all of this said up to this point, let’s get a foundation for understanding the Sabbath. You may wonder why did we go all this way around? We needed to go to understand the problem we have SPIRITUALLY so that once we get the members in our body together we then can proceed to hear and understand God clearly. Many people fail to look spiritually and hence when a spiritual situation arises they will use logic to try to find a solution and the situation really requires divine intervention.

The Field of the Spirit

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: The Principal of Sowing: The Field of the Spirit

Scripture: John 3:16; Romans 6:13,19; 12:1; 1 Corinthians 6:20; 2 Corinthians 8:5;

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

We know that there are two elements of rest that we can for the members of our body in this time. That is rest for our soul and our spirit. Now our spirit comes to rest when we receive the Holy Spirit into our hearts. The rest for the spirit is a gift given by God to the sons of God. Now if we are sowing into the spirit then there are things that we should do and things that we should not do. That seems to be pretty elementary but let’s see what are those things and how do we sow into the field of the Spirit.

Romans 6:13: Neither yield ye your members (body, soul and spirit) as instruments of unrighteousness UNTO SIN: BUT YEILD YOURSELVES UNTO GOD (THE SPIRIT), as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

So God starts off by telling us not to yield to sin. That requires us to deny the desires of the flesh and desire the Will of the Father

Romans 6:19: I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity (sickness) of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto inquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Romans 12:1: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service.

When we see reasonable service, this means, it should automatically be done and without prompting. It is not a bonus to live holy, that is how a son of God should live anyway. That is your reasonable service. So to yield your body to God is a reasonable service because He was the one that gave it to you anyway. Hence your own body is not really yours. Let’s prove it.

1 Corinthians 6:20: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, WHICH ARE GOD’S.

2 Corinthians 8:5: And this they did, not as we hoped, BUT FIRST GAVE THEIR OWNSELVES TO THE LORD, AND UNTO US BY THE WILL OF GOD.

To sow to the Spirit is to deny your flesh and your soul and follow the Spirit. Allowing the Spirit to live through you to do the Will of God. You do not yield to sin and unrighteousness. You blind the eyes of your soul to see through the eyes of the Spirit and you are lead and guided by the Spirit to do the Will of God. So the biggest step that we as the sons of God must take in sowing to the Spirit is to deny the flesh and yield all our members, flesh, body and soul to God for His Will because it belongs to God.

In the next message we will look at the seeds that we can sow and their end results and yield.

Peace, Love and Grace from the Father,

Calvin Calhoun, Jr.

The Field of the Flesh

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: The Principal of Sowing: The Field of the Flesh

Scripture: Leviticus 20:15,16; Mark 7:7,8; Romans 1:32

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

When you sow to the flesh you are sowing being lead by your soul. To sow to the flesh is to please the flesh and give in to its lustful desires. The only fruit this will yield is a fruit of corruption, decay, deterioration and ultimately death. Let me give you some of the fleshly examples that we see today:

Traditions of Men

Mark 7:7,8: Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

When we put the traditions and commandments of men before the commandment of God we do not worship God in truth and in spirit and everything we do is in vain because it is to please man, not God. One of the great tragedies was when the church became a club requiring “membership”. God did not start a organization, fraternity, sorority, or club. He started a family in the Earth under the governing of the King of the Kingdom of God, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spirit of Esau

What is the spirit of Esau? Remember Esau lost his birthright and this lead to a damaged self esteem. Boy, isn’t this a major problem. We have too many people, especially leaders in the church that try to do feel-good messages all the time to appease people’s self-esteem. Because we have not understood our “birthright” as sons of God then we feel lower than we are. We look for sympathy from people for our situations. When we come into our identity then you will see people become more secure in who they are we will see people drop all this titles and learn what it truly means to be a son. We will seek God to validate who we are and everything we do.

Sexual Sins

We know that sexual perversion and sin is on the rampage and if anyone has been paying attention for almost the past 30 years you know that we have HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, Chlamydia, genital herpes..etc. All of this diseases can be the result of sexually perversion and sin. God gives people up to a reprobate mind to those who have these perverted sexual sins. This includes, homosexuality and bestiality. For those of us who do not know what that is, it is when someone has intercourse or sexual activity with an animal and this happened in the Bible. Yes in scripture!

Leviticus 20:15,16: And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast. And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

These are just a few but let me show you the result of all of this when we sow into the field of the flesh:

Romans 1:32: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are WORTHY OF DEATH, NOT ONLY DO THE SAME BUT HAVE PLEASURE IN THEM THAT DO THEM.

This is the result but before this judgment is executed, Romans 1:28 says God gave them over to a reprobate mind. This is a mind that is under evil control and soulish and fleshly desires. If you sow into the flesh the end result is death.

Peace, Love and Grace from the Father,

Principal of Sowing: Two Fields

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: The Principal of Sowing: Two Fields

Scripture: Proverbs 18:21; Galatians 6:7-9

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

I know this seems to be the long way around but all of this is important to understanding how we bring our soul to rest and understanding the truth about the Sabbath. Like I said in the beginning if we look at the church today, for the majority, many are not at rest but under stress, strife and confusion. But let’s look at the principal of sowing because one of the most important parables is about sowing. What is sowing? Sowing is giving, dispersing or distribution of something that will produce a harvest. Jesus in Matthew 13:18-23 tells the parable of a sower that sows seeds in a field and depending upon the ground that the seed landed on,, there was a subsequent reaction or yield. Either it was stolen, did not take root, choked by the weeds or yielded much fruit. Now we know Jesus is not just drawing a picture but also presenting a principal and that principal is the principal of sowing. This principal is understood by many as “whatsoever you sow, you shall reap”. Now many people say this to justify or condemn a person but do we truly understand the sowing part. Usually we only hear this when there is wrong doing but what does the Word of God say?

Galatians 6:7: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap

Now we hear people quote this scripture ALL THE TIME. But how many of us have read past this because many times we will read one scripture and the punch line or the thing that God is saying is in the very next scripture. So let’s read the next verse and watch this:

Galatians 6:8,9: FOR HE THAT SOWETH TO HIS FLESH SHALL OF THE FLESH REAP CORRUPTION; BUT HE THAT SOWETH TO THE SPIRIT SHALL OF THE SPIRIT REAP LIFE EVERLASTING. AND LET US NOT BE WEARY IN WELL DOING: FOR IN DUE SEASON WE SHALL REAP, IF WE FAINT NOT

Do we see this? Paul starts off with a very important and powerful statement and that is “DO NOT BE DECIEVED, GOD IS NOT MOCKED”. When you sow something in the earth, in due season you will reap whatever you sow. However, Paul tells us there are two fields that seeds can be sown on. God says that you can sow to the flesh or you can sow to the Spirit. Keep in mind, whichever one you sow to you will reap the fruit of that seed. So seeds are not just earthly objects but also spiritual realities that will produce and yield what is sown.

Proverbs 18:21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

So even to the very words that you say, you are sowing into the earth and what you sow, you shall reap. This is why music can be a good thing and a bad thing. Depends upon the heart of the one who produces the song and the lyrics.

In the next message, we will look at sowing into the field of the flesh.

The Power and Purpose of Division

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: The Power and Purpose of Division

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 2:14-16; Hebrews 4:12

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

Division is very important for the Body of Christ. Hebrews 4:12 says that one of the five-fold responsibilities is dividing the soul from the spirit. Division is necessary and good for the son of God. The sons of God need the Spirit to stand alone so that they can hear the voice of God clearly. Let me show you.

1 Corinthians 2:14: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned.

Remember in Hebrews 4:12 it says the Word of God is also a discerner. So the sons of God are to be lead by the Spirit and the Spirit of God discerns for them the things and secrets of God and the Earth. Now this is important to understand because the way we discern the things in the Earth is from the soul and so we tend to live by the systems or ways of this world and not by the wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel and power of the Lord. Great example, let’s say you have a disease and you have gone to doctor after doctor with no success. However, God tells you to go to a river and wash in it seven times and then you shall be healed. Now who will you listen to? To listen to God requires faith and it requires you to look beyond the soul into the Spirit and receive the truth of your healing and get your soul to blindly follow your spirit.

More important how we interact with people is important that we have this division of the soul and spirit. When we see people through the eyes of the soul we only come up with our interpretation and when we make judgments about them, it is solely on our interpretation. It is based on our fleshly viewpoint. However, when we allow the Word of God to divide the soul from the spirit we then can get a viewpoint from Heaven and we know longer see them from the eyes of our flesh and make rash judgments but we now see them the way God sees them and when God speaks a word about them, then the Word that God speaks through you is not a unjust judgment because God’s judgments are just. However, it is truth because God is giving you revelation and truth about the person. Look at this scripture:

2 Corinthians 6:16: Wherefore henceforth know we no man AFTER THE FLESH: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, YET NOW HENCEFORTH KNOW WE HIM NO MORE.

So we are not to view people through the eyes of the soul but through the eyes of the Spirit. This is how ministry should be done form the spiritual mind, who is the Mind of Christ. With all of that said how we respond in the earth tells us who we are being lead by and the words we speak into the earth either bring life or death.

In the next message we will look at the principal of sowing in the Earth.

Five-Fold Responsibility of the Word of God

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: Five-Fold Responsibility of the Word of God

Scripture: Hebrews 4:12

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

Now in the last message we discussed to importance of hearing the Word of God and responding to it. Have we ever thought that the Word of God has a responsibility itself? The anointing can be separated into five governmental graces (Ephesians 4:11). The Word of God when it is active in the lives of a son of God has five particular roles and we can find them in this scripture:

Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Let’s look at the five-fold responsibility of the Word of God from this scripture:

First it says that word of God is quick. The word quick means life, hence the word of God gives life and is the relevant prescription for your condition.

Second it says the word of God is powerful. It empowers a person to act on the words of God to bring His Will to the Earth. So it is the actual thing that works for you.

Third it says that the word of God is piercing. This means that the Word of God offends. Now you know that people love feel good messages but the true Word of God offends because it challenges you with truth in the place and position that you are in.

Fourth the word of God divides. This is probably one of the most important attributes because so much of the inclusion doctrine is about uniting but the Word of God divides. What does it divide? It divides carnal thinking from spiritually minded thoughts. Remember our spirit is at rest by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit but the rest of the soul must be discovered and until then the Word of God consistently divides those things so you can see the difference. We will come back in the next message and look at division.

Fifth the word of God is a discerner of thoughts and intents. The word of God will show you the true intentions of people and the moves of the enemy.

In the next message we will look at the power and purpose of division that the Word of God brings to the sons of God.

Hearing God

Understanding the Sabbath

Today’s Focus: Coming to Rest by the Spirit Part 2: Hearing God

Scripture: Jude 1:20; 1 Corinthians 14; Romans 10:17

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

How can you worship God if you cannot hear Him? Worship itself has been reduced to music and performance. Even when it comes to pastors being put over the Body of Christ. Let me give you the scenario?

There is a bishop and he has a congregation that needs a pastor. 12 men show up to “interview” for the position, sound like a job, right! As he interviews the 12 men he asks them all the same question, “How do you know you are supposed to be here and serve as pastor?” and each of them said, “Because God told me so!” Now somebody is not hearing God properly when this is the prevailing case in many of our congregations. By the way, I do not believe in interviewing people for pastor because it is not a job but a calling from God to watch over the heritage of the Lord, who are His children. The first century church, prayed and fasted and allowed the Holy Spirit to select leaders from amongst them.

As we deny ourselves and put down youthful lust we become more sensitive to hear the voice of God. As we become more sensitive to the Word of God we should also build ourselves in faith and praying in the Holy Spirit.

Jude 1:20: But, ye beloved, building up yourselves on your most Holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.

What is praying in the Holy Ghost? Speaking in tongues in a spiritual language that is between you and God. I do not advocate the public spectacle that speaking in tongues has become because there are rules to this because a immature son of God will get lost without an interpreter and speaking in tongues is a spiritual language between you and God. Please read the entire 1 Corinthians 14th chapter. Jude says PRAYING in the Spirit.

But what has happened to all of this? Most of it has been replaced by another language that everybody seems to understand as a universal language and that is music. Listen I am not bashing music but when you speak to the average youth or carnal adult about the Word of God, many have to result to a song that they heard their favorite artist sing. It is as if the only language they can speak is a song. They cannot respond to normal conversation but they can respond regularly to music. We need to understand that there are times for songs to be sung unto the Lord but when we look at Jesus and the first century church. They spoke the Word of the Lord, not in song but by power. They were secure in their connection with God and could hear Him clearly and by doing this, the power of God was manifested before the eyes of men. These sons of God were at rest not worried about their own lives but living to please the Father. Their faith was strong but it only grew and became strong by hearing the Word of God.

Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God

Faith does not come by studying the Word of God. That is just accumulating information. Faith comes by hearing because you live in the hope of the very thing you heard God say He would do and once it is manifested or placed into reality, it now is faith. So hearing the Word of God is crucial to being at rest.

In the next message we will look at the five-fold responsibility of the Word of God.
