Today’s Focus: The Order of the Sons of God and Mixing the Seed
Scripture: Genesis 6:1,2; Luke 3:23-38
Greetings Kingdom Citizens
Now in the last message we talked about the lineage of Adam and how even though he had many children it would be only one child that would carry the seed of Christ to the next generation. This fleshly linage that would carry the seed of Christ would be called the Order of the Sons of God because they would be the lineage to bring the Son of God, Jesus and restore the lineage from flesh and blood to spirit. Now let’s look at Genesis 6 because even me and I am willing to say this, that I thought that the sons of God on Genesis 6:2 were the angels or nephilim spirits but I want to show you this because I was convicted in the spirit and we have to keep in mind that there is God’s fixed order in the Earth to every thing and created being. Let me start in Luke 3:38 and then bring us back to Genesis 6.
Luke 3:23-38 speaks of the lineage of Jesus from Adam but look at verse 38. It says all of these people were of the “order of the sons of God”. Why, they carried the seed of Christ through the age of man until the seed should come who is Christ. Now we see in verse 36 that Noah was of the order of the sons of God. Now that we know that all of these people were of that order, go back to Genesis 6.
Genesis 6:2: That the sons of God saw the daughters of men (Cain) that they were fair and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Now these sons of God would mix the holy seed with the seed of the very thing that killed the purposes of God. Do we understand? The daughters of men were the children of Cain, Cain killed Abel who offered up great sacrifices unto God. The sons of God were to keep this line pure, however they did not and mixed the holy seed with the unrighteous seed. This is why God throughout the scripture did not want Israel (physical and spiritual) to mix the holy with the profane because you produce “giant problems”. Second in Genesis 6:2 we see polygamy and we know God does not like polygamy. God gave Adam one wife and that was Eve. Remember even with Abraham and Sarai, the promise was made that they would have a child but Abraham came together with Hagar and produced Ishmael and we know that Ishmael did not receive the promise but Isaac, the son of Abraham and Sarai did.
Now Noah is the person in this time who God finds grace in and decides to start the human race all over again with him. We know that the name Noah means “rest” but how did Noah get to be this particular person. Why could it not be Enoch who walked with God or Seth or Lamech who was Noah’s father. Why could it not be any of them? In the next message we will began to look at the eternal concept of multi-generational building. Noah did not just pop out and God said there we go. No there is history and precedent that brings Noah to this point to make him the person for God’s will in this particular time. Remember we have to know what is being built in the Earth or we will build out of our own sweat and strife.
