The Lion of the Tribe of Judah

Israel: The Kingdom’s 42nd Immortal Generation

Today’s Focus: The Lion of the Tribe of Judah

Scripture: Genesis 42:37; 43:8,9; 49:10; Hebrews 1:8,9; Revelation 5;5

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

Revelation 5:5: And one of the elders saith unto me. Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Now we know that the Lion of the tribe of Judah is the Lord Jesus Christ. We also stated that the Tribe of Judah is a kingly lineage.

Genesis 49:10: The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto Him shall the gathering of people be.

In this scripture we see that the scepter which is a symbol of authority and power. This tribe is royalty, rulership and dominion.

Now why the tribe of Judah of all the 12 tribes? Why not Levi if Jesus is the Great High Priest and He is? But look at this particular situation and it will give open your eyes to why. Remember when Joseph was given a high governmental position in Egypt and “really” was the reason why Simeon got arrested. Well of course the boys go back to Israel, their father and he asks where is Simeon? Joseph requests that the boys bring their youngest brother back to Egypt in order to release the other brother that was being held prisoner. Israel was not happy with this because he thought he already lost Joseph and he did not want to lose Benjamin. So Reuben and Judah are speaking with their father on how to get Simeon back and two ideas was brought to the table but only one would go forth.

Reuben

Genesis 42:37: And Reuben spake unto his father, saying, SLAY MY TWO SONS, IF I BRING HIM NOT TO THEE: DELIVER HIM INTO MY HAND, AND I WILL BRING HIM TO THEE AGAIN.

Reuben asked Israel, his father to kill his two sons if he does not return back with his brothers. Now let’s look at Judah’s plan.

Judah

Genesis 43:8,9: And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we and thou and also our little ones. I WILL BE SURETY FOR HIM; OF MY HAND SHALT THOU REQUIRE HIM: IF I BRING HIM NOT UNTO THEE, AND SET HIM BEFORE THEE, THEN LET ME BEAR THE BLAME FOR EVER.

Judah was willing to LAY DOWN HIS LIFE to restore the lost sons back to their father. Does this sound familiar? This is why Jesus is of the tribe of Judah, because He would come and lay down His life for His brothers so that they may be restored to the House of the Father.

Malachi 4:6: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Hebrews 1:8-9: But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the sceptre of thy Kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

If Jesus is of the Tribe of Judah and He has changed the lineage from natural to spiritual then do we belong to the Tribe of Judah? We will answer this question in the next message.
