Biblical Feasts and the Agricultural Season

Today’s Topic: Biblical Feasts and the Agricultural Season

Scripture: Leviticus 23:1-2

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

Now we understand that these celebratory and solemn feasts are types and shadows to celebrate the revelatory truths of these feasts of the age of man and the return of the Lord. Now in the natural world these feasts coincide with the agriculture season. Not to confuse you let’s break it down. If you know anything about agriculture then you will understand how this will work. With the exception of winter, in most cases, fruits and vegetables which are planted and harvesting happens throughout the other three seasons (spring, summer and fall). In the spring season we see such things as barley and wheat. In the summertime we see things such as cucumbers, watermelons and tomatoes. Finally, we typically see the largest harvest done in the fall in preparation of the winter and we typically see the most variety of fruits and vegetables harvested during this season. Stay with me!

The Biblical feasts fall in certain seasons of the year. There are some that fall in the springtime. There is one that falls in the summer, but there are some that fall in autumn. These are the feasts and the seasons they fall and this will be a very unique picture and I pray you pay attention because where the feasts fall gives us an indication of events that happen in time. God is awesome!

Spring Feasts

1. Passover

2. Unleavened Bread

3. First Fruits

Summer Feast

1. Pentecost

Fall Feasts

1. Trumpets

2. Atonement

3. Tabernacles

Now you may see this and then again you may not see it but the way and order that these feasts are arranged and remember they were arranged by God to the children of Israel almost 3,000 years ago, were to tell a story of the age of man culminating with the return of the Lord and the Kingdom of God in full glory and power with God being all in all and we, the sons of God make up the House of God as living stones.

The children of Israel understood agriculture language very well because the economy of the world was not really in money or currency but in agriculture. Jesus in many of His parables spoke to the children of Israel in the language of agriculture. Jesus, when explaining His return to the disciples used words like harvest and reaping. In addition to speaking about the children of God and the children of Satan, Jesus referred to the children of God as wheat and the children of Satan as tares? One of the most powerful and one of my favorite parables is the Parable of the Sower. Of course this parable deals directly with agriculture and the sowing of seeds. So the world was given a roadmap to the truth. The road map is the parable itself. Remember a parable is meant to hide the truth so that the one seeking the truth will be lead to it. So the first thing you have is a desire and pure heart to seek the truth and then the parable is meant to lead you to the revelation of the truth. Now the parables were not only for the children of Israel but for everyone in the purpose that anyone seeking the truth will be lead freely through their own desire for it. Now if you choose not to see the truth then these parables are simple stories and but still a mystery to them then do not seek the truth. This is why the scripture speaks of the children of Israel still being blinded because of their unbelief in the fact and truth that Jesus is the Son of God and He has come to Earth, died on the cross and was resurrected and ascended back to the Father. But these feasts are going to reveal to us an amazing story and the first feast we will start with is the Feast of the Passover.
