Representational Rule

House of God
Today’s Topic: Representational Rule: Introduction
Scripture: Genesis 1:2; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 6:33; Romans 6:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Greetings Kingdom Citizens:
When a ruler or king sends someone with authority and power to another land or territory to carry out that ruler’s will and purpose then the one that is sent has representative rule. Now that sounds simple but looking at the state of the church and the Body of Christ in some areas this is not understood. People still call themselves a “King’s kid” but have no clue how to rule. People talk about having power and authority and there is no demonstration of power. As simple as Genesis 1:26 and Matthew 6:33 are they are the most misunderstood and disobeyed scriptures. But why is this the case? Why do we have a problem fulfilling our purpose in the Earth to rule and display the good nature of God which brings peace to the Earth and subdues the Earth to the standards of the culture of Heaven to order it and make it just as peaceable as Heaven itself, which is the dwelling place of God? Well we must understand that between Genesis 2 and Matthew 4 is about 4,000 years and the mentality of man has been on the decline since the fall. But what exactly happened in the fall that began our slow decline to this current state where the concept of representational rule is almost taboo to talk or even understand. Over the next few messages we will look at it and bring us to today and how we can in the Day of Salvation rule in the Earth and bring the culture of the Kingdom to the Earth.

First we must look at the components of man. I will not spend too much time on this but we must at least have a foundation. Let’s get a scripture 1 Thessalonians 5:23:

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ

So based upon this scripture man is composed of 3 components, spirit, body and soul. Now for the sake of time we will discuss the role of the physical body today and discuss the role of the spirit man and the soul in the next two messages.

When we look at the physical body we know the physical body is made up of thousands of components working together to make it function in the Earth. As it pertains to the purpose from the Eternal, the physical body is simply a housing for the indwelling of the spirit man and the soul of man. To show you how important the physical body is you can correlate it to an astronaut. The astronaut suit houses the being of the astronaut to allow him or her to function in space. Now if that being comes out of that suit in space then that person will die due to the laws God ordained for that realm. We need oxygen to breathe and there is no oxygen in space. Now this moves me to this crucial point. There is only one time that I know of in scripture that Holy Spirit was moving in the Earth without a body and that was Genesis 1:2: “And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” During this time we see the creation being formed and on the sixth day, man would be created and God would impart Holy Spirit in man. Hence we have 1 Corinthians 6:19: “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” God gave you this housing so you can function in the Earth and do the Will of God. So the housing is really not yours to begin with because you did not create it! Hmm! So do we have the right in God’s eyes to tattoo the housing He gave to us? According to Leviticus 19:28 the answer is no.

Finally, spirits need bodies and this law does not only pertain to the children of God in the Earth but it also pertains to eternal in the Earth. Evil Spirits or fallen angels need a body to function in the Earth. Well how do they get one? They have to have permission from a human to use the body. So do they ask? Yes. For example:
Man has a thought: Man it’s Saturday, let’s get drunk tonight and hopefully I can get a woman to take home with me. Man has a second thought: You need to prepare yourself for worship tomorrow and need to study the Sunday school lesson. Now the man has a choice to make to which voice he will yield his body to. Now if he yields to the first thought then he is yielded to that spirit of alcoholism and possible fornication because alcohol causes you to lose inhibition and control. When you are out of control then you have a problem discerning spirits.

Now this is a small example but in many cases this is what happens so we need to be careful who we listen to because who we yield our bodies to is whom we serve. Romans 6:16:”Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, His servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”

We need to treat and care for our physical bodies properly. Now I am not talking about worshipping your body where all you care about is your physique but I am talking about seeing to its needs nourishment wise and health wise because without your physical body you cannot stay on Earth. That is the law God ordained. Another way to protect the body is from ungodly spiritual inhabitation by yielding and submitting your physical body to the rulership of Christ.
