Topic: Travail of the Sons
Greetings Sons of God:
Romans 8:19-23: For the earnest expectation of the creature
waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity,
not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of
corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth
and travaileth in pain together until now.
And not only they, but ourselves also which have the firstfruits of the
Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to
wit, the redemption of our body.
When we talk about travail and many times in Scripture it
speaks of travail as it pertains to birthing something. When we are speaking of the manifestation of
sons, we are speaking of an appearing of those sons. Now let’s use a common natural experience,
childbirth. Every mother can tell you
about this better than I can but I will attempt..LOL. When there is conception a baby is formed in
the womb of its mother. As this baby is
growing, maturing and being formed so that it may survive outside of the womb,
you cannot physically see what it will look like of be. Hey, before a lot of this technology you just
had to wait to see what the sex of the baby is when the baby came out of the
womb. The labor was intense, the woman
was in a lot of pain (travail) and it is not until the baby is born that joy is
experienced on one of it’s highest levels in human life. Now with that said let me show you this:
Isaiah 66:7-9: Before
she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a
man child. Who hath heard such a thing?
Who hath see such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or
shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought
forth her children. Shall I bring to the
birth, and not cause to bring forth? Saith the Lord: shall I cause to bring
forth, and shut the womb? Saith thy God.
The Lord is bringing forth, manifesting the sons of
God. The Lord says He will not shut the
womb meaning there will be many sons manifested in that day. But before that birth there is a travail
that must happen. All sons of God will
experience travail to birth Christ within us.
Think about the journey so far and how much you have had to give up, let
alone the war with your soul over many issues.
This is the travail that we must go through but know our ending is
greater than our beginning and especially our current position. Let me share this next important concept
about the travail of sons.
There is no birthing without judgment. What am I saying? Once the sons of God are manifested there
will be judgment against the wicked who tried to prevent this. Let me show you this set of Scripture:
Revelation 12:1-5: And there appeared a great wonder in heaven;
a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a
crown of twelve stars. And she being
with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there
appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven
heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads and his tail drew the
third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the
dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her
child as soon as it was born. And she
brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and
her child was caught up unto God and to his throne.
Now there is a lot here but let’s simplify it. The woman is giving birth to a man
child. That man child is the mature sons
of God. This is why right now she is
travailing in birth and pained to be delivered.
Now we know the red dragon is the devil, Satan. It says he is waiting to devour the man child
once they come forth or are manifested.
But right after the birth of the man child it says the child was caught
up unto God and his throne to rule all nations.
So, the manifestation of sons produces righteous rulers. Now if you keep reading on the devil is
judged and casted out of the heavens to the earth and makes war with the sons
of God and he and his minions are ultimately judged by the sons of God (1
Corinth 6). Remember in the Psalms:
Psalm 149:5-9: Let
the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their
mouth, and a twoedged sword in the hand; to execute vengeance upon the heathen,
and punishments upon the people; to bind their kings with chains, and their
nobles with fetters of iron; To execute
upon them the judgment written: this
honour have all his saints. Praise ye
the Lord.
But until the manifestation of sons the creation travails,
we travail until we come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of
Christ (Ephesians 4:13).
