Topic: The Spirit of Entitlement and the Seer Prophet
Greetings Sons of God:
We talked about who the seer prophet is and their role, now
let’s look at the current problem that prevents many of us from coming into
this ministry of being a son. Let’s
start with this passage of Scriptures:
Ephesians 4:11-13:
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work
of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ: Till we all come in
the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect
man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Now the problem we have to day is the spirit of entitlement
and this spirit prevents many sons from maturing and experiencing the ministry
of the seer prophet. The five-fold gifts
are meant to bring the Body of Christ to maturity to a point where the
five-fold ministry would no longer be necessary. Huh?
Sounds weird! Not actually if you
see spiritually. The absolute best
example of this is Jesus Christ Himself.
Notice in His earthly ministry He walked and functioned in all five
gifts. He did not try to put himself in
one box but simply lived as the Father desired Him and at the appointed time,
the gift would manifest for the Will of God to be executed. You may say, well that was Jesus! Are we not called to be “LIKE” HIM? So if He
is our example then we will mature to His stature. Now if you do not believe this then you will
have serious problems walking in the spirit because your soul will always put
limitations on the things that God is requiring of us in this day.
In the church the spirit of entitlement expresses itself
through those who seek control and position.
Many are building their own kingdoms from their own mind. This has stunted the growth of many sons in
the age. God is bringing people out of
this mentality.
The Lord is doing a mighty work within the sons and I
suggest you take some time out to read Joel 2:1-11. This Scripture is bring fulfilled in this
day. It speaks about the manifestation
of the sons of God and what they will do.
In our previous message we talked about the ministry of the
seer prophet will change and bring down kingdoms. We have a precedent for this through some of
these prophets: Samuel, Elijah, Elisha,
Jeremiah, Ezekiel. All of these prophets
were lead of the Lord to speak a word that brought down kingdoms and change the
age during their time. We are at that
time NOW! As we enter into an awareness
of all of God’s Kingdom which includes many things we do not even have in our
knowledge yet, God is maturing us so that the Scripture in Joel 2:1-11 is
fulfilled. In this time we must stay
open to all that the Lord is bringing to us.
We must continue to let go of our preconceived ideas and concepts.
One of the ways God speaks to us is through dreams, visions
and signs within our own body. Remember
the seer prophet is able to see the unseen.
In other words they must see the spirit world with their physical
eyes. This is called having an open
vision. The way God brings us and matures
us to this point is speaking to us through these various methods so that we may
hear and see what the Spirit is speaking and showing us.
Dreams and visions are windows of sight into what the spirit
is doing as it goes about following the Lord.
As it pertains to signs within your body, this pertains to the enlightenment of our
eyes. We must come to the place where we
see in the spirit with our physical eyes.
This is the open vision that we are maturing to. Some of us can speak to situations where you
may see glimpses, shadows, faint outlines of people that are not there. I had a situation like that happen recently
where I saw a faint outline of a person or shadow figure walk through the
kitchen even though it was in my periphery, I know I saw this figure and I
yelled out hello and look out and saw no one.
I then went back into the bedroom to what I was doing and again I saw
the figure out my periphery walking from the kitchen to the dining area. I ran and looked out and saw no one. God desires to take us higher and higher in
the things that concern Him and His Kingdom.
This is why the work of the cross is pivotal to your maturity and
growth.
If we desire to go higher and walk in this we must simplify
our life so that we may become sensitive to the spirit. What do I mean simplify? This means to slow down, minimize the
“busyness and chaos” in our day-to-day lives and listen. To listen to hear the spirit for many
requires quietness and I am not talking about an external quietness even though
that helps but the internal quietness is crucial. Why?
The internal quietness points to the soul being quiet and submitting to voice
and will of the Spirit. One of the great
concepts to experience this is fasting.
The goal of fasting is submitting the desires and will of the flesh for
the desires of the spirit. You deny
yourself of self pleasures for the things of God. Now understand if you fast, you fast with a
purpose. A fast without a purpose is a diet. We fast to sacrifice the desires of the
flesh for the things of the spirit. We
will dive more in-depth about dreams and visions in the next message.
The spirit of entitlement is steep in self and pride and has
no place in the Body of Christ. We are
because He is and in this season we are decreasing self as we know it and
increasing Him as He knows us.
