Baptism by the Spirit

Focus: Doctrine of Baptisms: Baptism by the Spirit

Greetings Sons of God:

Baptism by the Spirit is the baptism where Jesus puts you into the body of Christ. You are spiritually inserted and grafted in.  Now why is this a baptism?  To stay consistent with our definition because you are being taken out of the family of satan and adopted and put into the family of God.  You are a son of God.  This baptism is the confirmation of who you are and whose you are. This baptism happens immediately to the believer who confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and believes God raised Him from the dead.  This is the point in our lives where we receive the promise from God of the Holy Spirit coming and living in us.  When Jesus died on the cross, shed the blood and was resurrected from the dead, He paid the price for us to have the opportunity to leave the family of satan and join the family of God with full rights and privileges. Let’s look at the scriptures and get a deeper understanding:

1 Corinthians 12:12-13 – Baptism into the Body of Christ by Jesus
Now if you read this scripture and in verse 13 this will prove when we come to Christ, we are baptized by Him into the body of Christ.  For we all are baptized BY ONE SPIRIT INTO ONE BODY! This is what every Kingdom citizen should know and never doubt, because if you doubt that you do not know who you are. So if we are many members in one body, what is the church?  Is the church the four-walled building?  Absolutely not!  The church is the members of the body of Christ, the sons of God.  It is His family who is to know His mind and spread His Will and knowledge over the world. This leads me into the next scripture:

Ephesians 4:4-6:  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in you all.

This is the Scripture and true interpretation of one Lord, one faith, ONE BAPTISIM.  This is the baptism, baptism by the spirit, that matters the most because it makes you a son.  Without this baptism all of the others are obsolete.

1 Corinthians 2:9-13 – The Power of the Spirit within You
When you are baptized by Jesus into the body of Christ, the Holy Ghost you receive is the mind of God.  When we look at the scriptures here, verse 10, it says the Spirit searches all things, the deep things of God.  Now the Holy Spirit knows all and knowledge is freely given in order to empower you with knowledge of yourself and the knowledge of God.  The problem with the church today is we have an identity crisis and we lack knowledge, so we also lack power.  This baptism is to give you your identity and for you to know the things of God through the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 4:20; Jeremiah 29:11 – Your Destiny in Power
Finally we will discuss your destiny in power.  Let me explain a little bit what this means. Your destiny is God’s plan and expected outcome for you (Jeremiah 29:11).  The Kingdom that you are a part of when you are baptized into the body of Christ is not just in words but the evidence of it’s existence, because it is unseen, is in power.  Power is the evidence the Kingdom of God gives to show it’s existence and truth.  You have a destiny as a Kingdom citizen and if you get into your assignment you will see the power of the Kingdom of God manifest through you on Earth and you will realize the importance of knowing who you are and your position in the Kingdom.
