Focus: Repentance from Dead Works
Part 2: The Soul
Greetings Sons of God:
Now in our previous message we saw
scripturally that we are a tri-partite being made up of flesh, soul and
spirit. We also made the statement that
the goal of our maturity was to transfer our mentality from living from our
soul to living by the spirit. Now let’s
break this down and make it very edible.
Let’s start with this fact:
Luke 3:38: Which was the son of
Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son
of God.
So here we see Adam was a son of
God. He was born of the Spirit of God,
created in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26). Adam was a perfect man when created. He was perfect in spirit, soul and flesh in
the Earth. Now let’s look at the fall in
the garden to understand how man falls and the consequence of the fall. After Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the
tree of the knowledge of good and evil this is what happens:
Genesis 3:7: And the eyes of them
both were opened and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves
together, and made themselves aprons.
What eyes is the Scripture
speaking of? Can they see through their
physical (flesh) eyes? Yes because Eve
saw the snake. Now was the eyes of the
spirit open? Yes, because they communed
with God continually in the cool of the day.
So the eyes the Scripture is speaking of is the eyes of the soul.
Now if the eyes of the soul are
open then we can conclude that their perception of life is about to
change. No longer can they see things
through the eyes of the Spirit because of sin.
Seeing life through the eyes of
the Spirit, Adam knew that God was His Father.
Adam did not worry about food, clothing or protection because he knew
who he was and everything was prepared and provided by God. All he had to do was obey. Now if this is life through the eyes of the
Spirit. What is life through the eyes of
the soul?
Well Adam and Eve fell in sin a
couple of things happened in the Earth and I will state them here and expound
in a subsequent messages:
1.
Culture of the Son was changed to the Culture of a
Orphan (Fatherlessness)
2.
Life is seen and perceived from the eyes of the soul
which is a limited view
3.
The Order within the Earth is now out of course
because of the lost of the sons of God administering the Kingdom of God
In the next message we will
examine the Culture of the Orphan that was instituted by the fall of man and
the life he now lives by the soul.
