Understanding Soul Ties Today’s Focus: Negative Soul Ties Part 2a: Groups and Organizations Scripture: Exodus 23:31-33; Deuteronomy 13:6-9 Greetings Sons of God: Exodus 23:31-33: And I will set thy bounds from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee. Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee. Ok, in this scripture the Lord is informing Israel that the land that is promised to them has inhabitants in it that will be against them. In Exodus 23:23 the Lord names the six nations but in Deuteronomy He names a seventh nation, the Girgishites. These seven nations would need to be driven out of their land before they could posses it. Now the Lord warns Israel that he will deliver these nations to them but they must drive them out and they ARE NOT TO MAKE A COVENANT WITH THESE NATIONS NOR SERVE THEIR GODS, because it will be a snare unto Israel. Now we know that we are the Spiritual Israel of God so these situations are very important to understand because it also implies to us. How does it you ask? God says make no covenants (soul ties) with them, nor with their gods. There are many, and I mean many people who have made covenants with other gods and try to claim covenant with Jesus also. The reality is this cannot be because Jesus said: Matthew 6:24: NO MAN can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. If this is the case then you cannot make a covenant with a group of people and claim you are fully sold out with Jesus because you are already married or joined to something else and God is not into adultery nor fornication. Hence this leads me to this statement which I will make now and pick up in the next message: You cannot be a part of a fraternity, sorority or secret society and serve the Lord Jesus Christ at the same time.
