Biblical Interpretations Part 2

Culture of the Kingdom

Today’s Topic: Breaking of Bread: Biblical Interpretations Part 2

Scripture: Acts 2:42

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

In this message we want to summarize what we have up to this point but continue to show how what we have made or interpreted the culture of the Kingdom is far from what Scripture interprets it as and tells us it is.

Apostles' Doctrine

The current church culture tells us the apostle's doctrine was what they talked about back then and church planting. As we have studied in this series we have shown in Scripture that the Apostle's Doctrine is the current word for the Body of Christ for that particular time period. When Holy Spirit reveals a mystery it comes first through the apostolic. The apostolic is the foundational and the gift of order to the Body of Christ. The apostles' doctrine gives us the CURRENT direction of the church in this age. Without the apostolic, the church CANNOT KNOW the current direction of the Body of Christ because their doctrine is a current Word for that time. In addition the church will lack order and understanding of the foundation.

Fellowship

Fellowship in current culture is described as people coming together for a meal, potluck or just to have fun. We have studied and shown that fellowship is much much more than that. Fellowship is understanding how Holy Spirit arranges us in the Body of Christ. In addition, fellowship is understanding that the House of God is arranged in a patriarchal order that gives us spiritual fathers that disciple us and show us Christ who brings us to the Father. So fellowshp is all about the arrangement of the Household of God.

Breaking of Bread

In current church culture breaking of bread is typically linked to Communion or the Lord's Supper. In actuality the breaking of bread, symbolically, does not link to the Lord's Supper even that it may seem or is commonly done. The breaking of bread is greater than the symbol of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus even though that is the central issue to the life of the believer. The breaking of bread is the way the Body of Christ meets together for the purpose of imparting the life of Christ that is in each person to the whole Body of Christ.

Can we see how different current culture is versus the Kingdom culture. Now I need to show you a few more concepts about the breaking of bread and we will do this in the next message. The question now is how and where does this "feeding" take place?
