Topic: Principles in
Building the City Church Part 4
Greetings:
1. Understanding of the Times/Seasons
of God
1 Chronicles 12:32:
And the children of Issachar which were men that had understanding of
the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred;
and all their brethren were at their commandment
There must be those sons within the house who can understand
the times and seasons of God. This is
crucial because the Body of Christ must have a clear vision of where we are
maturing to. The Scripture says it yet
appears what we will be but what we know and the Lord has revealed we should
have a clear vision on that path and walk in it.
In understanding the times and seasons there will be
doctrinal adjustment in these times. God
is correcting inaccurate doctrinal positions.
This is the make or break line for many people. Are they willing to give up their
traditional, denominational doctrine for the doctrine of Christ, repent and
adjust as necessary? As I have said
before the pride of some leaders will but the repentance and change of others
will lead many sons back to their identity for the purposes for which they were
called. Let me show you this! The four pillars of Kingdom Culture.
Acts 2:42: And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’
doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Notice the order in which the first century church continued
after the sermon by Peter in Jerusalem.
Apostle’s Doctrine is first and prayers is last.. Understand this, when we get the doctrine
right, the prayers will began to be effective.
Why?
James 5:16b:…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man
availieth much.
The righteous man has the right positioning but most of all
the right doctrine. Doctrinal
adjustment is here…Hear what the Spirit is saying to the church. Repent and live!
2. Stout-Hearted and Loyal Men/Experts of
Doctrine
1 Chronicles 12:33:
Of Zebulun such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all
instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of
double heart.
The city church must have loyal, stout-hearted men who are
experts in doctrine. Many of us see what
double-hearted people can do to a congregation if not rebuked and
chastened? Confusion and division. These
sons must be of one heart, one Spirit and willing to lay down their life for
each other.
Furthermore, when we look at the Scripture it says that the
sons of Zebulun were experts of war with all instruments. In the city church, there must be leaders
who know how to equip the sons of God for battle. Ephesians 6:10-17 teaches us the weapons of
our warfare but when we look at the weapons notice none of them are carnal but
are spiritual are in order to effectively put them on and most of all us them,
one must have the doctrine right! When
the sons of God have the doctrine right they can withstand the schemes of the
enemy. When the Doctrine of Christ is
right within a son, they will understand how to use truth, righteousness,
peace, faith, salvation and the Word of God to overcome the enemy at every
turn. The city church must have men who
are experts in the Doctrine of Christ.
They give themselves to the Word of God, studying and rightly dividing
it for the Body that they may grow to the measure of the fullness of
Christ.
Once all of this has been done and set in place:
1. Recognize the David (Son carrying the Grace) within the
House
2. Recognize the Helpers with a Pure Motive
3. Recognize the
Crossing Over Necessary to be Used for the Work
4. Recognize the Need for Men Fit for Battle
5. Need Men Activated By Tribulation
6. The Set Man has to be Discerning
7. Recognition of Grace / People Must Say: “We are Yours”
8: Sons who Understand the Times/Seasons of God
9. Loyal Men / Experts of Doctrine Now
We can now declare this within the city:
1 Chronicles 13:2:
And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto
you, and that it be of the Lord our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren
every where, that are are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to
the priests and Levites which are in the cities and suburbs, that they may
gather themselves unto us: And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for
we enquired not at it in the days of Saul.
When we can build the city church we will experience the
presence of God like never before and signs and wonders will be so evident and
truly common because the city is united in one heart and one Spirit.
In the final message I want to examine the spirits of
Jezebel, Absalom, Korah and Adonajai that seek to destroy what is being built.
Peace and Grace
