Topic: Incarnation and Knowledge Part 1
Greetings Sons of God:
We discussed in a previous message the concept and power
associated with understanding the incarnation of God within mankind. The earthly ministry of Jesus clearly
demonstrated this concept and power and rule associated with the manifestation
of the sons of God. We can take it one
step further. The ministry of Paul can
be summed up by one Scripture:
Galatians 4:19: My
little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ is formed in
you,
Christ being formed in you is not about the external change
but the incarnation of God within the sons that when Christ appears so shall
the sons. Let me show you this in
Scripture:
Colossians 3:3-4: For
ye are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life shall appear,
then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
So our very life is with Christ in God. So there is a way we are to live to reflect
this eternal truth in the Earth. But how
are we to know this and how will this happen.
You will know this by the knowledge of the Son of God.
Ephesians 4:13: Till
we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
So by knowing Christ, the Son of Living God and having a
relationship with Him, you will mature into this new creation, this son of God
who be the fullness of Christ. This is
what God is clearly doing. He is
maturing the sons of God to the fullness of Christ. But the major problem we have with this
eternal reality is the source of our knowledge and how it affects our
perception and viewpoint of not only ourselves but the world around us. Let’s go back to the beginning to show this.
In the beginning God created man that he be His son ruling
and having dominion in the Earth (Genesis 1:26). Mankind was in the image and the likeness of
God, his Father and the creation responded to him as ruler within the
earth. God the Father gave Adam one strict
instruction as it pertained to his existence in the garden.
Genesis 2:16-18: And the Lord God commanded the man, saying
Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou
eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
So all mankind had to do was to follow this one command in
the garden and man would live eternally.
However we know that mankind sinned and we know sin separates us from
God who is life. So by one man’s sin,
death entered in. But that was not the
only thing that changed with the sin in the garden.
Genesis 3:7: And the eyes of them both were opened and they
knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves
aprons.
First there perception of who they were changed (saw they
were naked points to their carnal perception) and second their fellowship with
the Father changed due to the fact that they hid in fear from the very same
voice they fellowshipped with daily.
They made provision and protection for themselves when before they
sinned this was never a worry or a thought.
Let me further show the
consequence of sin and begin to tie knowledge and incarnation together to
understand the importance.
Before the fall, Adam and Eve fellowshipped with the Father
and all they knew was Him and what He told them. To know the Father is life and
His Word to you is life. But in the
garden the Tree of the Knowledge of God and Evil represented another knowledge
that they did not know and God did not want them to obtain. But always know, it comes down to
choices. The devil did not make Eve and
Adam eat of the tree. Tempted them and
what is unique is that he attacked them by questioning their identity and who
they were by saying there is more to know.
Sounds strange, look at this:
Genesis 3:5: For God
doth know that in the day ye eat thereof then your eyes shall be opened and ye
shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
The devil said you shall be like gods. They were already gods because they were His
sons. But the enemy attacked them in
trying to make them believe they will “be like” gods if they obtained this
other knowledge. But here is where the
downfall happened. The devil knew that
God gave man a soul and he knew that in his soul is his free-will center. Let me break here and explain this portion
because it is very crucial going forward.
Man is a tripartite being meaning he is made up of three
parts. He is made up of a spirit, soul and flesh. We know this by the Scripture:
1 Thessalonians 5:23:
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole
spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
How it is meant to work or function is the Spirit of God
fellowships with the spirit of man (Romans 8:16). The soul of man is meant to “blindly” follow
the word from the spirit and manifest what is coming from the spirit to the
flesh and onto the Earth. It is
important to understand the blindly part of the soul because when the devil
said their eyes would be opened by eating of the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil, the enemy knew that if he could get the eye of the soul opened they
would be lead by another influence all in the attempt to show God that he was
wrong for making humans the heirs of the Kingdom. It is the soul where makind can be “god”
because he rules by choice. The problem
is, this rule is limited in its viewpoint and ability. How? The viewpoint and understanding of life
and the creation is from the five carnal senses and past experiences. To obtain knowledge from this viewpoint is
carnal and devilish. Sounds strange, let
me show you:
James 3:15-17: This
wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For
where envying and strife is there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first
pure, then peaceable, gentle and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good
fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy
The wisdom and knowledge from the earth is sensual, carnal
and devilish and notice before that scripture and after it, it speaks of envy
and strife. Why? Ever notice people get jealous when someone
knows something that other do not.
Why? Because in their eyes the
person that knows “appears” to be better or above them because they know and
the others do not. This is envy but the
wisdom and knowledge from above produces peace, righteousness , mercy and good
fruits.
As stated in a previous teaching series “Death in the Pot” the
doctrine of the world will produce death and is still producing death. It will be the sons of God becoming the
provision for those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, who are carrying
the bread of life to those in the wilderness.
For the sake of time and information we will continue this
topic in the next message
