Enemy Within the Gates

The Temple of God
Today’s Focus: Invasion of Babylonian Systems: Enemy Within the Gates
Scripture: Lamentations 4; Lamentations 5

Greetings Kingdom Citizens
Let’s continue our examination of the destructive nature of the Babylonian system on the Body of Christ.

Lamentations 4:12: The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should have entered into the gates of Jerusalem.

This is a picture of the enemy on the inside of the Body of Christ. It is also a sign of weak leadership.

Lamentations 4:13,14: For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her, they have wandered as blind men in the streets, they have polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.

In the midst of Babylonian systems within the church you have the shed blood of the just and because of the sin, the people are blind. Now this blindness is not physical but spiritual because they lack spiritual insight from the Throne of Heaven.

Lamentations 4:16: The anger of the Lord hath divided them; he will no more regard them: they respected not the persons of the priests, they favoured not the elders.

This one is the break point. In the Babylonian system leadership is no longer accepted nor respected. Now look at the church today and see how leaders are no longer respected because they have given themselves over to the world.

This is why we cannot afford and should never throw the Old Testament to the side. Much of what we see today is exactly what was going on back then and if we are serious about building the Temple then we must avoid these systems and mentalities of locality. We must keep the focus that the local church is to shape the lively stones that make up the temple within the city. We should never make the quarry the temple because then we are building by our own minds and imaginations and it was our own mind and thoughts that separated us from the Father the first time.

In the next message we will begin looking at Lamentations 5 and continue to see the effects of the Babylonian system.

Peace, Love and Grace from the Father,
