Faith Toward God

Focus: Faith Toward God

Greetings Sons of God:

Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.

Now we all have read this scripture, know it back to front and can quote all day, but we need to dig a little deeper into faith because much like repentance, we need to grow throughout our lives in faith.  For many of us our faith hinges on God doing things for us.  In other words, we have faith so that God gives us things and there is so much more than that to faith.  Let’s first look at the different stages in life, and these are Greek and then we will tie them into how our faith should grow and what we should be looking for.

Stages of Growth in Life
Mapios (Nativity or newborne) = Introduction to Sonship
Paidion (Potty train or learning how to walk) – Cry for God to meet needs
Teknon (Teenager) – Responsibility of the Kingdom Introduced
Huios (Young Adult or mature son) – Kingdom-minded and mature
Pater (Father) – The Care of Others

Ok, for many of us we are sitting at Paidon.  Now Mapios is when we are introduced or should have been introduced to our sonship.  It is our spiritual birth through the Holy Spirit.  You had to have faith to even enter into the Kingdom.  Now you may ask why do you say we are at the level of Paidion or Potty training. Well at this stage in life, babies are crying constantly for their parents to give them something.  They believe and know if they cry they are supposed to get something and when they don’t get what they want they cry even further.  This is how many of us are with God.  We believe if we cry to him all the time, he has to give us what we want.  Now for a time that does happen but much like in our natural world, you have to teach them that there are other ways and more important things in life than food, clothing and drink.  In the transition of potty training to teenager, look at what happens and the responsibilities that are given and required of the child.  Now for those of us that are here at this stage, you have been given responsibility in the Kingdom and are learning to lean on the Father and not so much to worry about food, clothing and drink.  I call this the Assignment stage of life.  Now you may ask how do you get to this stage?  Well here is what God does, he starts holding back from you and stop giving you so much of what you want to help push you to another level of the faith ladder.  See if God continue to give you in the potty train stage that you are in, He then is stunting your growth.  So not every prayer is answered in the attempt to help you grow from asking for things all the time to dealing with His priority which is His Kingdom.  Now you ask what is the goal behind all of this?  And here it is:

To know that you are His Son and He is your Father to see his goodness working in your life!

Let me end this message with this scripture to really get you ready for the next message:

Philippians 3:13,14: Brethern, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark of the high calling of God, in Christ Jesus

In order to press forward, your faith has to look forward and trust God.  It is not all about God giving you things, but knowing God is and has provided everything by His grace fro you to accomplish His Will for that day.  All you need to do is listen to His Word and know for a certainty that God has placed you here for a reason and has properly equipped you to do your assignment.

How Do We Repent from Dead Works

Repentance from Dead Works Part 6:  How Do We Repent from Dead Works

Greetings Sons of God:
John 6:27-29: Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.  Then said they unto him, What shall we do that we might work the works of God?  Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Romans 6:6-8:  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Now there are two distinct mindsets presented in both Scriptures that we must understand in order to know what we are repenting from.  Now Jesus in John 6 calls out the disciples when they find Him in stating they were seeking Jesus for the fact that they got full off of the loaves not not the miracle.  Jesus had to transition their thinking and perception and verse 27-29 is that transition.  He tells them not to labour or work for the food that perishes (physical) but for the food (spiritual) that leads to everlasting life.  For so many of us we will stress and claw and struggle just for physical bread but God said do not do that, repent, change your mind.  Jesus said the Son of man shall give you food that shall lead to everlasting life.  The food that leads to everlasting life is the Word of God and the person that shall give it to us are the sons of God that the Father sends to us.

The two mindsets are the carnal (soulish) mindset and the spiritual mindset.  To repent from dead works is to transition from works lead by the soul to works lead by the Spirit.  Because it is in hearing the Word of God and believing that we are fed and allow the eternal to impact the physical.  Understand that everything that was made for us came from the eternal.  This is why we pray for His will to be done in earth as it is in heaven.  And this brings me to our second Scripture in Romans.

It says to be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  The soulish mindset is always limited in it’s view.  The soulish mindset cares for itself and how it may protect itself.  The scriptures say that this mindset to a son of God is enmity or hostile against God.  So the soul can act independent of God.  It is your free will center.  Our goal in repenting from dead works is to submit the will of the soul to the will of the spirit because in the Will of the Spirit there is peace and life.  We are not our source, God the Father is our source and we live because of Him and through Him for everything.

I encourage you to read Romans 8:6-17 this is a absolute wonderful passage describing the need to transfer from being lead by the soul to being lead by the Spirit and the consequences of being lead by each.  Understand that this is where spiritual fathers play a vital role because they will help correct behaviors that have been instilled in us for so long that are works that lead unto death.  They help train us to hear the Spirit and in the midst of the situation they teach us to defy reason and obey the spirit.  In order to mature effectively we must repent from works that lead to death to work the works that lead unto eternal life.   This why we as the sons of God take no thought saying what shall we eat, drink or wear but we know the Father knows we have need of all these things but we as the sons of God should seek first, the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all of those things shall be added unto us (Matthew 6:31-33 Paraphrased)

In the next message we will examine the second elementary doctrine, faith toward God

Restoration of Sons and the Kingdom

Focus: Repentance from Dead Works Part 5: Restoration of Sons and the Kingdom

Greetings Sons of God:
So we see how the fall of man has lead to chaos and disorder within the earth.  Man tries to rule from his soul as an orphan and only causes strife, stress and ultimately death.  So how does God seek to restore man from the fallen state.  Let me give you to Scriptures and explain:

Psalm 82:5,6: They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.  I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High

Malachi 4:5,6: Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:  And he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the heart of the children to their fathers lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

The first way that he restores order to the Earth and restoration of His sons in the Earth.  The only way a son can be restored is that He be “born again” from above.  This can only be done by one repenting and receiving the Spirit of His Son into your heart and you cry Abba Father – Galatians 4:6.  So it is by faith in Jesus Christ that one is born again into the House of God.  Now the part that we miss is how these sons are matured into understanding this identity and this is why our scripture of Malachi 4:5,6 comes into play.

It is by the turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers that sons are matured into their identity as Sons of God.   These fathers are not biological fathers but spiritual fathers because they are sons that have been matured and God has placed them in His stead over households to help bring the sons of God to maturity.  This Scripture is the last Old Testament prophecy and it is the first prophecy stated in the New Testament to Zecharias in Luke 1:17.   The reason there is a need for spiritual fathers is because they are sent to watch over your soul and by watching over  your soul they show you and teach you how to rule over your soul and master it so that you can hear the spirit.  Remember it is the rule of the soul that has us in the state that we are in, but it is the rule of the Spirit that produces God’s perfect will through His sons.  As we progress we will come back to the role of spiritual fathers and dig deeper.

The curse stated in Malachi is not some voodoo witchcraft but simply the curse is fatherlessness.  When there is fatherlessness there is the rule of children over nations, a lack of discipline and order.   Now that is a curse and we can see this in action today.

Now the reason the restoration of sons is crucial is because the Father gave the sons the Earth to steward and rule within the Earth through the power of the Kingdom of God.  But the Kingdom cannot come unless there is a son present to administrate it in the Earth.    This is why Jesus can say “Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand”  because now there is a son of God in the Earth who the Father’s rule can come through and rule in the Earth.  The Kingdom of God is the original government of the Earth and the government that keeps all of creation within the God-ordained order and function.

In the next message we will explain how to repent from dead works.

Lost of Dominion

Focus: Repentance from Dead Works Part 4: Lost of Dominion

Greetings Sons of God:
In Genesis 1:26 God gave mankind dominion in the Earth.  As long as man obeyed God he would righteously rule in the Earth.  The reason I say righteously because this dominion is called the Kingdom of God.  Many of us have heard this and believe it to be some futuristic kingdom to come.  The Kingdom is here now but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

The Kingdom of God is the rulership of God over the hearts of men.

When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden they lost the ability to function in the power of the Kingdom of God.  The Kingdom has now left the earth and now a new system of governing will set in that will cause disorder.  In turn, man then attempts to search for what was lost in the fall.  Their searching produced religions as well as governments.  When you are religious you constantly search for God and try to appease Him with rituals.  We are not called to religion or rituals but to relationship.   In addition, man’s attempt to find the Kingdom of God produced the multiple governments within the earth.  Each of them having a aspect or concept of the Kingdom but because it lacks all of what the Kingdom is, it falls short to meeting the complete needs of the citizens under it’s rule.  Every government from democracy to dictatorships fall short.  This is the fall in the garden was so devastating to the earth and to mankind because he lost his relationship with God as Father and lost dominion (Kingdom of God).   This is why when we look at the Scripture about Noah it speaks of how wicked the Earth was where the majority of men’s minds were constantly on wickedness.

It will only be when the sons of God are restored and the Kingdom returns to the Earth that the original order within the earth will begin to return.  This is not a futuristic situation where we are waiting for the sweet-by-and-by  this is a present day unfolding reality and it is my desire and moreover the Father’s desire that you realize who you are and why he has put you here.

In the next message we will look at restoration and how we are to repent from works that lead unto death.

Culture of the Orphan

Focus: Repentance from Dead Works Part 3: Culture of the Orphan

Greetings Sons of God:
The culture of behavior of the family of Adam after the fall has now changed from being the culture of a son where he knows God as Father to now the culture of a orphan, which is a culture of fatherlessness.  Now this is not something I have just come up with there is Scripture to support.  Now lets look at the characteristics of an orphan:
1.   Does not know parents
2.   Views discipline as abuse
3.   Looks after self
4.   Seeks to provide and protect self even at the cost of others.
5.   Hoards
Now looking at these characteristics many would say well that is not the culture I live under but when we examine the fruit of some we clearly see the culture of the orphan even those who call on the name of the Lord because they know God as God but lack the relationship to God being Father.   The prophet Jeremiah lamented over the state of Israel and had this to say:

Lamentations 5:1-3:  Remember, O Lord what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.  Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens. We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.

This entire chapter of Lamentations 5 is what I call the cry of an orphan and I urge you all to read it in your spare time.  Now God never intended to have orphans.  He always intended to have sons and hence the culture of the Son would be the opposite characteristics of the culture of the orphan.

The first sign of the orphan culture in Scripture was:

Genesis 3:7-8: And the eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they hears the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the Garden.

First Adam and Eve perceived themselves to be naked.  Major problem because if they were spirits encased in flesh then who they are is not based upon the flesh but when the eyes of the soul were opened, no longer did they see themselves are spiritual beings but fleshly.  This is why they went and made fig leaves for aprons.  Adam and Eve were clothed in the glory of God and when they sinned they were then truly naked.   So instead of being a son and knowing that you are already clothed in the glory of God, they went and made provisions for clothes themselves.

Second, the concept of fear set it.  The same voice of the Lord that they communed with everyday that brought peace and joy now causes them to hide and protect themselves from the One who created them.   Instead of knowing and trusting God for their protection, they sought to protect themselves.

Orphans seek to protect and provide for themselves because they can trust no one else to do so.  Orphans will do whatever it takes, including using people to get whatever need they perceive met.  This is what God tells us about the orphan culture and their attitude toward meeting their need:

Genesis 3:19: In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground, for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art and unto dust shalt thou return.

In other words, just to eat bread which normally would be provided for you, you will work, sweat and till the ground just to eat bread.  Now cant we see this today to stress and nearly kill yourself just for provision and protection.  This is not the life of a son but the life of an orphan.  It will require repentance and a mindset change in order to shift to the culture of the Son.  Be aware that the Lord will challenge you and show you areas where you must change if you desire to be who God has created you to be.

In the next message we will examine how man seeing through the eyes of his soul affects how he governs in the earth that the Lord has given him to steward over.
